Julian Edelman had the most inappropriate joke at Tom Brady’s roast

Julian Edelman on stage

Julian Edelman had a big role in the roast of Tom Brady on Sunday night, and the former New England Patriots wide receiver managed to deliver some dark, dark humor.

There were several jokes throughout the night about the late Aaron Hernandez. During his set, Edelman joked that people have asked him whether or not Rob Gronkowski is well-endowed. Edelman said Gronk does fine in that department but that another former Patriots tight end was really “hung.”

Be aware that the video contains inappropriate language:

Hernandez played for the Patriots from 2010-2012. His incredibly promising career was derailed when he was arrested for and later convicted of murder. The ex-Florida Gators star committed suicide in 2017 by hanging himself inside his prison cell.

Edelman was not the only one who made a joke about Hernandez. Even Brady went there when he said the bar for Gronkowski in New England was low, as all Gronk had to do was “block, catch, don’t murder.”

Comedian Nikki Glaser also made a joke about Hernandez’s suicide. She did so while giving Randy Moss a hard time about never winning a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots.

Most people enjoyed Brady’s roast, and the fact that no topic was off-limits was the biggest reason for that. That is the entire point of a roast. Brady seemed bothered by one particular joke, but that could also have been part of the act.
