Julian Edelman apologizes for failed PED test: ‘I don’t know what happened’
Julian Edelman acknowledged on Friday that he has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug use policy, and the star receiver apologized for the failed test.
In a statement that was included in his Instagram story, Edelman says he does not know how he tested positive after having taken “many, many tests” throughout his career and passed them.

Edelman has been open about training with Alex Guerrero, Tom Brady’s personal trainer and the co-founder of the TB12 Performance Center, this offseason. That led to some speculation that it may have been a supplement Guerrero gave him that triggered the positive test, but Guerrero has tried to distance himself with a statement of his own.
Edelman, 32, missed all of last season with a torn ACL.
