Julio Jones not interested in Antonio Brown joining the Falcons

Antonio Brown

The Pittsburgh Steelers are openly looking to trade Antonio Brown, and the thought of the star wide receiver playing alongside Julio Jones is one that would give defensive coordinators nightmares. Don’t count on that happening, however, especially if Jones has a say.

TMZ briefly caught up with Jones this week and asked him whether he would like to see the Falcons make a play for Brown. His response was straightforward.

“Nah, man. We tight over here,” Jones said. “We good over here.”

The Falcons may have had a disappointing 7-9 season, but they ranked fourth in the NFL with 290.8 passing yards per game. Jones had one of his best years as a pro with 1,677 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, and rookie Calvin Ridley looks like a rock-solid No. 2 receiver. Jones probably isn’t the only player on the Falcons who has no interest in Brown joining the team.

Judging by the harsh words Steelers owner Art Rooney II had for Brown on Thursday, it sounds like a matter of time before the All-Pro is wearing a new uniform. Just don’t expect that to be an Atlanta uniform.
