Kellen Moore has great comment about shoutout from Jerry Jones
The Dallas Cowboys could not have looked better in their opener against the New York Giants.
The Cowboys beat up on the Giants 35-17, putting up 494 total yards on offense. Dak Prescott threw for an impressive 404 yards and four touchdowns. The excellent day for the offense — led by their passing attack — resulted in praise for first-year offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
Moore joked about the plaudits he received after the game, noting team owner Jerry Jones finally got his name right.
Kellen Moore, asked how it feels to have Jerry Jones shout out his impressive offense.
“Well, he got my name right. They used to call me Keelan. I must be doing something right.”

Moore, 30, had a four-year career at Boise State, played for the Detroit Lions as an undrafted player, then was with the Cowboys from 2015-2017. After retiring as a player he became a quarterbacks coach for the team last year and was promoted to offensive coordinator this year. The hope was that he would improve the team’s passing game, and so far so good. The only downside for Dallas is he may have helped drive up the price for the franchise quarterback.
