The St. Louis Rams totally imploded during Week 17 by committing an absurd amount of penalties against the Seattle Seahawks.
During the third quarter of their game on Sunday, they committed an unnecessary roughness penalty and three unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on the same drive. Defensive lineman Kendall Langford was one of the players hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and he ended up being ejected after accidentally knocking off a referee’s hat.
Langford was making a talking/chatter gesture with his hands to the referee, but when he waved his arm, he accidentally knocked the official’s hat off. That resulted in him being tossed.
The penalties gave the Seahawks 22 yards on the drive. Nice going, fellas.
