Kenneth Walker may have had the best broken tackle ever
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker had a huge game in his return from an oblique injury on Monday night, and he also pulled off one of the all-time great broken tackles.
Walker had 116 total yards from scrimmage and 3 touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 42-29 loss to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. His best play of the night came when he caught a pass out of the backfield on 2nd-and-4. It looked like Walker was going to be stopped short of the first-down marker, but he somehow broke out of linebacker Alex Anzalone’s grasp with a pair of flips.
Kenneth Walker did a full somersault for the first down 😂

You can see an even better angle of the acrobatic play:

The play probably should have been blown dead, as Walker’s forward progress was clearly stopped. You can understand why Anzalone expected a whistle, but the official let the play continue and Walker picked up a decent gain.
Walker emerged from the game healthy after missing the previous two because of his injury. The oblique issue clearly did not limit him on that particular play.
