Kyle Juszczyk calls out Matt Hasselbeck’s commentary during Pro Bowl
One of the ways the NFL is trying to make the Pro Bowl more engaging for fans is allowing participating players to tweet during their spells on the sideline. During Sunday’s edition of the annual event, that had some unintended side effects.
San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk got a handoff and took the ball for a first down during the Pro Bowl, prompting ESPN color commentator Matt Hasselbeck to remark that giving the ball to fullbacks “never happens” in the NFL anymore.
Juszczyk took notice, and had no second thoughts about calling out the ESPN broadcast during the game from the sideline via Twitter.
Never get the ball? Who is this man commentating?? Has he watched a @49ers game??? https://t.co/jv0y4nDgz7

Juszczyk only had seven carries for the 49ers this season, but he was an active contributor to the offense with 33 receptions and a touchdown, which is why he feels a bit aggrieved.
The Pro Bowl is something of an audition for Hasselbeck with the Monday Night Football color job sitting vacant. Perhaps it could be going better, but this isn’t going to be a deal-breaker.
