Report: Lawrence Timmons out Week 2 after ‘something angered him’
Miami Dolphins linebacker Lawrence Timmons will not be playing in his team’s first game of the 2017 season, but it is not an injury that is preventing the veteran from suiting up.
Reports surfaced Sunday morning indicating Timmons had gone AWOL and decided to not show up to work after traveling with the team to Los Angeles for a game against the Chargers. According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins knew where Timmons was but planned to make him inactive after something “angered” the 31-year-old.
Lawrence Timmons is not expected to play for Dolphins today. Something angered him. He's not with team. Dolphins know where he is.

Lawrence Timmons not arrested or run afoul of law, I'm told. Still not playing today. (See previous tweet).

With the Dolphins not having played a game yet in 2017 because of Hurricane Irma, the situation involving Timmons is extremely bizarre. It’s unclear what could have angered him over the course of the week that would inspire him to leave the team.
Timmons was among a group of players who donated money to help a local Miami high school team this week after Hurricane Irma left the team stranded across the country.
