A championship parade in South Beach is hardly anything new for the Miami Heat. LeBron James and company held a victory rally on Monday for the second time in two years. Although, you might have thought it was a first for the Heat if you witnessed some of the players nearly get decapitated.
At one point during the parade, LeBron and a couple of other players were riding along at a pretty good pace when they had to duck to avoid nailing their heads on the overpass. The first time it happened it looked like they were just crouching for good measure. The second time it appeared to be a necessity.
Clearly, winning a championship doesn’t mean your work is totally done. The Heat were sharp in Game 7 of the NBA Finals — as this incredible GIF shows — and that sharpness had to continue days later. Perhaps next year’s parade will take a different route. That is, of course, if a three-peat is in order.
