Leighton Vander Esch

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch headed into the medical tent for examination after suffering a neck injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Vander Esch helped tackle Dallas Goedert after a 12-yard gain to give the Eagles a first down. He was down on the field afterwards but was able to walk off and head into the medical tent.

The Cowboys were able to force a punt on the possession even without Vander Esch, who had three tackles in the game.

Vander Esch entered the game with 51 tackles on the season. He had 138 tackles and two interceptions as a rookie last season.
