This story shows Luke Kuechly’s crazy dedication to football
Luke Kuechly announced his surprising retirement from the NFL on Tuesday, and the amount of respect he commanded throughout the league was evident. The lifetime Carolina Panthers linebacker received praise from many of his teammates, coaches and colleagues.
Kuechly was dedicated to the sport and constantly worked on his craft. This nugget speaks to his dedication.
Last season, former Panthers defensive back Captain Munnerlyn shared that Kuechly didn’t have cable at his home the first four years of his career so he wouldn’t be distracted from watching film.
Cool tidbit from Captain Munnerlyn, don’t know if it’s been reported…he said Luke Kuechly didn’t have cable in his house the first four years of his career so he wouldn’t be distracted from watching film.

Now that is serious dedication.
Kuechly also showed off how much of a student of the game he is during an interview with Pat McAfee last year. He named every starter in his division.

And people thought Sean McVay was impressive? It’s not too surprising Kuechly made seven straight Pro Bowls to end his career when you see the time he put into the game.
