The Detroit Lions forced the Los Angeles Rams into a decision with running back Malcolm Brown when they signed him to an offer sheet earlier this week, and the defending NFC champions have made up their mind.
On Friday, the Rams announced that they have matched the offer sheet the Lions signed Brown to. And if Brown’s reaction is any indication, the former undrafted free agent got the result he was hoping for.

Brown rushed for just 212 yards last season before being placed on IR with a broken collarbone late in the year, but the Rams obviously value the depth the 25-year-old provides. Their decision to bring back Brown could be an indication that they do not expect to retain CJ Anderson, who remains a free agent.
