Mark Sanchez, EJ Manuel among QBs to work out for Redskins

Mark Sanchez

The Washington Redskins are in need of another quarterback following Alex Smith’s injury on Sunday and will take a look at several free agents.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Washington is bringing in Mark Sanchez, EJ Manuel, and TJ Yates to work out on Monday.

Manuel and Sanchez are former first-round picks. Manuel was cut by the Raiders before the season. He saw action in two games last season. Sanchez, 32, was the Bears’ third-string QB last year. He was suspended four games to start the season due to a failed PED test.

Yates, 31, played four games last season for the Texans, throwing four touchdowns.

Washington’s current starting quarterback following the injury to Smith is Colt McCoy.
