Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly went to great efforts Friday to put an end to the trade rumors that have surrounded the Detroit Lions quarterback for the last few weeks.
In a post on her social media Saturday, Kelly Stafford said a trade request has never been considered by the quarterback, and that Stafford was not going anywhere.

These posts come in response to the latest rumor that the trade rumors are coming from the quarterback’s camp. This was denied by Stafford’s agent, Tom Condon, and now his wife. It’s hard to get much more emphatic than that. Despite all the chatter, it sure sounds like Stafford will be Detroit’s quarterback at the start of the 2020 season.
