Report: Melvin Gordon will not play against Chiefs
Melvin Gordon will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night, according to a report.
NFL Network’s Omar Ruiz reported on Twitter that he asked Gordon whether he would be able to play against Kansas City. Ruiz says the Los Angeles Chargers running back shook his head sideways to indicate no.
Just spoke to Melvin Gordon, he said he was feeling alright but when I asked him if he was gonna give a shot tonight, he shook his head sideways, indicating a no…

Gordon had wanted to play in the important AFC West game, but he’s only 2.5 weeks removed from injuring his knee against Arizona. If the game were not on a short week, there would probably have been a better chance of Gordon playing. Unfortunately they don’t have a full week, so holding him out makes the most sense.
Gordon will likely be back for Week 16 against Baltimore.
