NFL fans are convinced that not all is well with the Atlanta Falcons. They also have a new meme that they are going to get a lot of mileage out of.
Fans zeroed in on one interaction between Falcons quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa on the sideline during Friday’s preseason game against the Denver Broncos. At one point, Penix pointed toward an unsuspecting Tagovailoa with an incredulous look on his face.

Whatever Penix was trying to do, the interaction came off like him being aghast at Tagovailoa starting ahead of him. Some fans sympathized, while others argued that Penix is even worse.

The interaction came just after the Falcons’ first offensive drive, which was a three-and-out that included a Tagovailoa fumble. After the game, Tagovailoa was sharply critical of his own play, calling it “not up to standard.” He went 3/5 for 22 yards in limited action.
Tagovailoa looks set to start the season as Atlanta’s quarterback, in large part because Penix has not been medically cleared to play yet. If that does turn out to be the case, Falcons fans might get some mileage out of that clip.
