Mike Evans ejected for disrespectfully addressing referee
Mike Evans was ejected from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday for disrespectfully addressing officials.
Evans lost his cool while being covered by Panthers CB Josh Norman. He drew two flags on the same play after being upset that no pass interference was called in the end zone, leading to his ejection.

Looks like the @Panthers @J_No24 and @TBBuccaneers @MikeEvans13_ have some unfinished business at the break @wcnc pic.twitter.com/kH0XNphSz5

Evans said in the week leading up to the game that he knew he would have trouble dealing with Norman, and he was right. His Bucs were down 38-10 with two minutes left in the game when he was tossed, so it’s clear his frustration got the best of him.
Evans battled immaturity and drops issues all season. He had four catches for 99 yards on Sunday, giving him 74 receptions for 1,206 yards and three touchdowns on the season.
