McCarthy is anticipating a quick recovery. The Cowboys say he expects to be available to coach when the team hosts the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.
The 9-3 Cowboys have won four straight games and six of their last seven. McCarthy’s offense had been firing on all cylinders, so you can understand why he wants to be back with the team as quickly as possible.
McCarthy, 60, is in his fourth season with Dallas.
