A Denver Broncos fan who mysteriously went missing midway through Thursday’s game against the San Diego Chargers was found safe on Tuesday, according to The Denver Post. Paul Kitterman, 53, was found over 100 miles south of Sports Authority Field in the town of Pueblo. He told police he walked all the way there.

Police in Pueblo found Kitterman after receiving a tip, and he reportedly told them he simply “had his fill of football” and wanted to walk “somewhere warmer.” He claimed he slept in bushes along the way and got rid of his Broncos hat because he did not want to be identified.

Kitterman attended Thursday’s game with his son and some friends and disappeared during halftime. He did not have a credit card or cell phone in his possession and was carrying very little cash. Kitterman’s family picked him up on Tuesday after he was found safe in a Kmart parking lot.

A family spokesperson asked for privacy in a Facebook post written on Wednesday morning.

Eye on Football provided a map of the route Kitterman claims to have traveled by foot. Google Maps estimates that it would take nearly two hours to get from the stadium to where Kitterman was found if you were driving.
