Nelson Agholor gets the memes for tough drop in Eagles’ loss

Nelson Agholor had yet another costly drop for the Philadelphia Eagles, and his error led to plenty of memes, as you would expect.

Philly had a 4th-and-10 down 17-10 in the final minute against the New England Patriots on Sunday. Carson Wentz was under pressure and lofted a ball into the end zone off his back foot that was intended for Agholor. Agholor had his man beat by a step but was unable to come down with the tough grab.

The catch would have been difficult, but it’s one Agholor could have made. It would have given the Eagles a chance to tie the game or take the lead, too.

Agholor has been the subject of past criticism — even from total strangers — over his drops. He’s also faced questions for his effort on a long bomb too.
