NFL calls on Congress to regulate sports betting after Supreme Court decision
Long resistant to legalized sports gambling, the NFL is now figuring out how to proceed after a Supreme Court decision reversed the federal ban on the practice.
In a statement released Monday, the league called on Congress to come up with a plan to regulate legal sports gambling in the name of protecting the NFL’s integrity.

The NFL has long been wary of gambling, but they have quite recently been preparing themselves for exactly what happened on Monday. They clearly fare the current state of things, in which it is decided on a state-by-state basis with the potential for different regulations everywhere, hence their desire to come up with something that works at a federal level.
