The virtual NFL Draft means that top prospects won’t have to wear suits on the big day. It doesn’t mean they can wear whatever they want, though.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk obtained a list of prohibited clothing for the draft. Most are common sense — explicit language, hate speech, slurs, obscene or violent imagery, and disparaging or derogatory statements are prohibited. Athletes are also banned from wearing anything that advertises dietary supplements or energy drinks, as well as drugs or alcohol of any kind.
Players may display brand logos only if they’re one of the NFL’s four partners — Nike, Adidas, UnderArmour, or New Era. They are also not permitted to wear any non-NFL leagues or brands.

Unfortunately, we’ll be missing out on the usual fashion statements that come with draft day. We’ll see if any draftees get creative and do something memorable even in the unusual setting.
