Report: Nick Foles likely to get deal in $20 million range

Nick Foles

Nick Foles looks set to cash in big-time in free agency.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the expectation is that Foles will land a deal somewhere in the $20 million range when he hits free agency, which would surpass the deal Case Keenum got a year ago from the Denver Broncos.

Foles’ status as a former Super Bowl MVP, as well as the only starting-caliber quarterback on the market, will guarantee him a comfortable payday. Rapoport believes that the Jacksonville Jaguars are clear favorites and there is mutual interest, but the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins can’t be counted out yet.

Some reporting has indicated that Foles to Jacksonville is essentially a foregone conclusion. This report isn’t willing to go to that far, but the Jaguars definitely appear to be favorites, and it looks like they’re poised to pay the veteran quarterback a pretty penny.
