N’Keal Harry may play new position with Vikings
Former NFL Draft bust N’Keal Harry is trying to resurrect his career with the Minnesota Vikings, and he may be preparing to do it while playing a new position.
While Harry is still listed as a wide receiver, the Vikings have had him working with their tight ends during offseason workouts. The Vikings evidently had this in mind when they signed him, as Harry bulked up to 240 lbs. during the offseason in preparation for the role.
N'Keal Harry said he added about 10 lbs. this offseason to prep for work at tight end. Ended 2023 at 230 lbs., he said, so now he's 240. Had heard "whispers" during his career about moving to tight end, but the Vikings were the first team to broach it with him. https://t.co/HMQnehyL0M

A former first-round pick of the New England Patriots, Harry has tallied just 64 career catches in five seasons. A move to tight end is a longshot, but his career as a receiver was going nowhere, so it is worth a shot. Unless he becomes an elite blocker out of nowhere, a part-time receiving tight end role is probably the best he can hope for.
Harry has an uphill battle to win over Vikings fans after making a pretty awkward first impression. Perhaps he can still surprise a few people.
