The Seattle Seahawks made a surprising decision this week to move on from Pete Carroll, and it appears they may already have their next head coach lined up.

As of Friday morning, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn was listed as a heavy favorite to be named the next head coach of the Seahawks. Gambling website SportsBetting.ag gives Quinn +100 odds to land the job, meaning you would have to risk $100 for the potential of making $100.

Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is the second-favorite at +400, followed by Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik at +600. You can see the top 10 below:

Dan Quinn +100
Mike Vrabel +400
Bobby Slowik +600
Dave Canales +700
Mike MacDonald +800
Ben Johnson +900
Jim Harbaugh +1200
Todd Monken +1600
Aaron Glenn +1600
Brian Callahan +1600

Quinn served two separate stints as a defensive assistant under Carroll in Seattle. He was the defensive coordinator of the Seahawks in 2013 and 2014, when the team’s “Legion of Boom” defense led it to the Super Bowl in back-to-back years.

Quinn was then hired as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. He led the Falcons to the Super Bowl in 2017, where they infamously blew a 28-3 lead to the New England Patriots. The 53-year-old was fired midway through 2020 and finished with a 43-42 record across five-plus seasons in Atlanta.

There have been rumblings that Quinn is waiting on another head coach job, but it would hardly be a surprise if he wound up in Seattle.
