Odell Beckham Jr.’s attempt to play this season has hit a snag.

Beckham told “The Pivot Podcast” that he has accepted a 6-game suspension from the NFL for a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy. The violation occurred last season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Beckham has now accepted the suspension, which will begin this week.

Beckham told “The Pivot” that he had elevated levels of testosterone, triggering his positive test. He claimed he did not knowingly take performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Beckham, 32, also made clear he is not retiring.

“There’s no chance,” Beckham said.

Beckham played in 9 games for the Miami Dolphins last season and had 9 catches for 55 yards. The season before, he had 35 catches for 565 yards and 3 touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens.

Beckham was a star receiver from 2014-2019 and had at least 1,000 yards receiving in each season except for 2017, when he suffered a fractured ankle. He did not play during the 2022 NFL season as he recovered from a torn ACL.

Beckham still seems interested in continuing his NFL career, even though his production is waning.
