Odell Beckham visiting with specialist for quad injury
Odell Beckham Jr. missed last week’s game against the Washington Redskins with a quad injury, and his status for Sunday’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans remains uncertain. However, the way his week has progressed does not sound all that promising.
After he was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Beckham visited with a specialist on Thursday for a further evaluation on his injured leg. It’s unclear if he suffered a setback on Wednesday, but he appears to be trending toward missing another game.
Odell Beckham is having his injured quad evaluated at the Hospital for Special Surgery today, Pat Shurmur told reporters. He won't practice today after being limited yesterday.
It's sounding less and less like just a bruise. Beckham's status for Sunday is now very uncertain.

While Beckham’s quad injury has been described as a bruise, it’s fair to wonder if it is something more. Players don’t typically need outside opinions from specialists for minor injuries that can be diagnosed and treated by the team training staff.
The updates about Beckham’s injury sounded a lot more promising on Wednesday. With the Giants 5-8 and out of playoff contention, they may decide to play it safe with a player they recently invested a ton of money in.
