Packers coach won’t commit to Aaron Rodgers playing in Week 2
Aaron Rodgers looked plenty healthy when he threw three touchdown passes in the second half on Sunday night and led the Green Bay Packers to a comeback win over the Chicago Bears, but the team is not yet ready to pencil him into the starting lineup for Week 2.
When asked about Rodgers’ knee injury on Monday, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said the quarterback is still being evaluated.
Mike McCarthy on Aaron Rodgers' status this week: "We're still collecting all the information on his specific situation. I know Aaron wants to play and is always driven to play but that's all I have right now."

Rodgers was carted into the locker room after a defender landed on his knee in the first half, and the injury looked quite painful. Packers fans got a welcome sight when he took the field in the third quarter, and he proceeded to help Green Bay mount a comeback win after trailing 20-0.
While he has expressed little doubt over his status for Week 2’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, Rodgers will have to listen to the Packers’ training staff.
