Pacman Jones downplays Ezekiel Elliott, says his daughter could succeed with Dallas line
Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott has really steadied himself after a shaky start and become a big contributor to the team’s offense, leading the NFL in rushing yards. One opponent, however, doesn’t think he deserves all the credit.
Bengals defensive back Pacman Jones credits the Dallas offensive line for Elliott’s success.
“If you go back and look at some of the film, some of the holes are so wide open that my little girl could run through there,” Jones said, via Katherine Terrell of ESPN.
Jones added that rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has been impressive too, but has taken advantage of undisciplined opponents.
“I think a couple teams they played were very undisciplined when it comes to gaps,” Jones said. “But I take my hat off to the guy, he’s been playing pretty good.”
Now that Elliott has adjusted, he looks to be the real deal. Of course, Dallas’s offensive line is outstanding, and it’s definitely helping him. It takes a talented running back to cut through it, though.
