Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes appears to be progressing rapidly in his recovery from ACL surgery.
Mahomes on Wednesday shared video of himself throwing passes during a recent workout. While the quarterback was not doing anything too intensive, he seemed to be moving well.

Wednesday marked 100 days since Mahomes underwent surgery to repair the torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. According to Nate Taylor of ESPN, the Chiefs are hopeful that Mahomes will be able to take part in May’s team OTAs, even if in limited fashion.
Mahomes set himself an ambitious target of being ready to play in Week 1 of the regular season. It is unclear if he will be able to pull that off, and will remain that way for a while. However, all the signs so far are positive, and he is clearly motivated to make it happen.
An ACL recovery timeline is estimated from six months to one year, but Daniel Jones and Joe Burrow are a few QBs who recently returned after 9-to-10 months following an ACL tear. That is about what Mahomes would be doing if he managed to be ready for the start of the season.
