Pep Hamilton reportedly will become head coach, GM of DC’s new XFL team
Pep Hamilton left Michigan’s coaching staff this week and already has a new job.
Two days after reports said Hamilton would be exiting the Wolverines’ coaching staff, The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman reports that Hamilton will become the head coach and GM for DC’s new XFL team.
SOURCE: Pep Hamilton, who'd resigned Monday at #Michigan to pursue other opportunities, is expected to become the new head coach and GM of the XFL’s new Washington, DC franchise. Word is he’s been working on getting a staff together the past week or so.

Hamilton had been on Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff at both Stanford and Michigan. He completed two years of the four-year deal he signed with the Wolverines that was paying him over $1 million per season.
Hamilton, 44, coached Andrew Luck at both Stanford and the Indianapolis Colts. Luck’s father Oliver is the XFL CEO and commissioner, which may have been the connection that brought Hamilton on board.
The XFL is set to begin play in 2020. Bob Stoops has already been confirmed as the head coach of the Dallas franchise.
