Pete Carroll dismisses Earl Thomas trade talk
Pete Carroll dismissed all the trade talk and other rumors surrounding Earl Thomas in a radio interview on Thursday.
The Seattle Seahawks coach joined Dave “Softy” Mahler on KJR in Seattle on Thursday and was asked about Thomas. Carroll said the team is counting on Thomas and that he “better be there” for camp in July.

There have been questions about Thomas’ status with the team all offseason. The safety has been the subject of trade rumors and has threatened to hold out. Thomas did not show up for the team’s voluntary workouts on Monday, either.
Thomas is due to make $8.5 million in what will be the final year of his contract. The 28-year-old only played 11 games in 2016 and 14 last year due to injuries.
