Look: Pyrotechnic mishap leads to pregame fire in Tennessee
NFL teams tend to haul a lot of hefty electrical equipment on the field for pregame introductions. Something went very wrong with that in Tennessee on Sunday.
Multiple reporters shared photos and details of a pregame fire on the Nissan Stadium sideline ahead of the Titans’ game against the Indianapolis Colts. While it was initially blamed on a speaker, Zak Keefer of The Athletic later clarified that one of the pyrotechnic machines was the cause of the blaze. That fire left visible burn marks on the sideline.

A speaker caught fire here at Nissan Stadium. This is not part of the pregame plan. pic.twitter.com/WvqLMdnQBv

Correction: that’s the flame thrower thing NFL stadiums love for player introductions.

That is not exactly a small fire. All the same, the game started on time without further incident.
Believe it or not, this is not the first time something like this has happened. Gotta be careful with those pyro machines.
