Raiders pick Jihad Ward may need minor knee surgery
Oakland Raiders second-round draft pick Jihad Ward may need minor knee surgery.
Ward, a defensive end from Illinois, was selected by the Raiders in the second round at pick No. 44 overall. A 6-foot-5, 297-pounder, Ward could need arthroscopic knee surgery.
There are NFL teams who believe Raiders' 2nd-round pick, DE Jihad Ward, will need arthroscopic knee surgery that could sideline him 6 weeks.

Though it’s never a good sign when a player starts his pro career by getting surgery, this would be considered minor and the time away would not be great, if necessary. Apparently the Raiders do not think he needs it.
Even though at least two teams think Raiders DE Jihad Ward could need arthroscopic knee surgery, Oakland believes he will not need it.

Ward was a wide receiver and safety in junior college and ended up becoming a defensive lineman after getting some proper nutrition and support. Oakland clearly feels he has a lot of upside.
