Rams bring in ex-NFL QB as new assistant QB coach
The Los Angeles Rams are sticking with youth in replacing former quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former NFL practice squad quarterback and Pro Football Focus analyst Zac Robinson will join Sean McVay’s staff as an assistant quarterbacks coach after Taylor left to become the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Sean McVay is hiring Zac Robinson as Zac Taylor’s successor in LA and the Rams’ new assistant QB coach, per source. Robinson is a former NFL practice squad QB, PFF analyst, and QB trainer. The two finalists were him and former NFL QB Bruce Gradkowski.

Robinson didn’t play in an NFL game, but spent time briefly with the New England Patriots after his career at Oklahoma State. In retirement, he was known for his work with PFF. Given how quickly his predecessor rose through the ranks, his name might be worth watching moving forward.
