Rams’ Nickell Robey-Coleman not apologizing for Tom Brady comments
Nickell Robey-Coleman has already made headlines for his comments about Tom Brady ahead of the Super Bowl, and he’s not really backing down.
The Los Angeles Rams cornerback said in a lengthy interview with Bleacher Report that age has taken its toll on Brady.
Even though the comments were widely circulated Monday, Robey-Coleman was not backing down when asked about them later in the day.
Nickell Robey-Coleman on the Tom Brady comments: “I ain’t got to apologize or go back on words about something that I said. I addressed (Brady’s) age, but it wasn’t anything about his lack of performance or his lack of skills.”

Some of what Robey-Coleman said — that Brady is older now — is obvious, but simply making that kind of comment is enough bulletin-board material to fuel the quarterback. Robey-Coleman and his Rams would have been best served avoiding such remarks. It’s too late for him to walk it back now … even if he doesn’t feel he needs to.
