The St. Louis Rams pulled out all the stops in the first half against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, including a trick play that fooled everyone from the camera crew to Seattle’s entire punt return team.
As soon as the punt was in the air, the Rams began running toward the opposite side of the field from where the ball was. The Seahawks defenders simply followed the Rams blockers rather than locating the ball in the air. Tavon Austin appeared to call a fair catch, only he wasn’t the one fielding the ball. SB Nation had a good graphic explaining what happened:

Steadman Bailey fielded the ball in a full sprint on the opposite side of the field. He put the breaks on and turned it up field for an 88-yard touchdown. By the time Seattle realized what was going on it was too late.
