Rams troll Russell Wilson on Twitter after defeating Seahawks

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is no Joe Namath, and the St. Louis Rams made sure to remind him of that much.

A day before their divisional showdown over the weekend, the two-time Pro Bowler semi-boldly tweeted out what essentially amounted to a victory prediction for the Seahawks.

1-0. #GoHawks

— Russell Wilson (@DangeRussWilson) September 12, 2015

Bulletin board material or not, once game day rolled around, the Rams went on to give Wilson a lovely Sunday brunch of gourmet crow, defeating Seattle in an overtime thriller by the final of 34-31.

After the game, the team’s official Twitter account made sure to rub it in a little bit with the following cold-blooded tweet linking back to Wilson’s original prediction.

Hey @DangeRussWilson, don't delete this… https://t.co/MJmLa9lUDW

— St. Louis Rams (@STLouisRams) September 13, 2015

And a few minutes later, the Rams tweeted out the knockout blow, courtesy of running back Benny Cunningham.

[*Insert fire emojis and “No chill” comments here*]

Do I smell a rivalry brewing in the NFC West? Or is that just the charred remnants of Russell Wilson’s ego I’m smelling?
