Ravens refute report about owner blocking Colin Kaepernick signing

Colin Kaepernick hat backwards

The Baltimore Ravens say they have not yet made a decision about whether or not they will sign Colin Kaepernick, and they claim team owner Steve Bisciotti is not pressuring the coaching staff or front office to avoid the free agent quarterback.

In a brief statement released on Wednesday, the Ravens addressed a report claiming Bisciotti has blocked head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Ozzie Newsome from bringing Kaepernick in.

Bisciotti openly admitted recently that he is trying to gauge how fans would feel if the Ravens signed Kaepernick, so it’s hard to believe he has not weighed in on the matter internally. Prominent Ravens veterans have already said they would welcome Kaepernick as a teammate.

When you combine all the reports we have heard about the level of interest in Kaepernick, it certainly seems like football ability is less of a factor than political stances in why he has not been signed.
