Could Reggie Wayne become an option for Panthers after Kelvin Benjamin injury?
The Carolina Panthers are in a bad spot at wide receiver after Kelvin Benjamin suffered a torn ACL, and they could turn to some veteran free agents for help.
Benjamin was carted off the field after suffering an injury during practice Wednesday. An MRI confirmed the torn ligament, meaning he will need reconstructive surgery.
After losing their No. 1 receiver, the Panthers will need some extra bodies for depth. One potential player they can add is 36-year-old Reggie Wayne, though the team has not reached out to him yet:
#Panthers have not reached out to Reggie Wayne as of yet, per league source.

Wayne had 64 catches for 779 yards last season, so he’s still obviously a guy who can produce. The Panthers are down to rookie Devin Funchess, Ted Ginn and Jerricho Cotchery, so they could use a guy like Wayne.
