Reports indicate that the Browns are set to fire coach Mike Pettine, possibly as soon as Sunday night, with general manager Ray Farmer also expected to be shown the door. It seems unlikely that Kelly will be given full control of another organization given how his previous tenure went, but if the Browns have both openings, it would be an opportunity for Kelly to put his stamp on the team. There’s also a chance that the Browns hire a coach before they hire a GM, which would be the reverse of the usual power structure. Regardless, it would be a bold move to blow up the organization and hand the keys to Kelly, and it’s only logical to wonder what he’d do with Johnny Manziel.
