Watt had issues with his groin during the Texans’ playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. He left the game briefly with a groin injury in the third quarter and then re-entered the game. While rushing the passer in the third a bit later, Watt went down with an injury and left the game (video of the play here).
Watt was credited with recording one tackle in the 30-0 loss to Kansas City. He was second on the team with 76 tackles this season, while his 17.5 sacks led the NFL.
Texans reporter Tania Ganguli notes that the doctor who performed Watt’s groin surgery is the same one who operated on Arian Foster for his groin surgery.
