The Seattle Seahawks are entering their Monday night matchup against the Detroit Lions as a heavy favorite, but they may be missing one of their best offensive weapons.
Marshawn Lynch has been battling a hamstring injury, and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says we should “not count on” the running back playing against Detroit. Lynch has not officially been ruled out, and the team will reportedly let him decide if he wants to go.
Lynch had an MRI on his hamstring earlier this week, and Seahawks coach Pete Carroll raised some red flags when he said the test revealed “some findings.” Carroll did not specify, but that makes it seem like Lynch could be dealing with at least a somewhat serious injury.
If Lynch doesn’t suit up, hopefully you took our advice and added this running back to your fantasy football team. The Seahawks should be able to handle the Lions without Lynch, but they’re always better when he’s on the field. Lynch is one of the tougher players in the league, so don’t be surprised if he tries to grind it out in a limited role.
