Richard Sherman, 49ers reportedly discussing 3-year deal
Could Richard Sherman end up with an NFC West rival? It seems that might be the case.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported on Saturday that Sherman is discussing a 3-year deal with the 49ers.
I'm told free agent CB Richard Sherman is discussing a potential 3-year deal with the #49ers, per Sherman.

Sherman has been a popular player in free agency since being released by the Seahawks during the week. He visited with the Niners on Saturday, and then he set up a visit with the Lions. Perhaps the visit with Detroit was to gain leverage in contract negotiations with San Francisco.
Sherman is coming off a torn Achilles’ tendon and will not be able to pass a physical for a while, but teams could sign him anyway and bank on him regaining his strength, health, and ability. For a team like the 49ers that’s looking to improve, it could be a worthwhile gamble.
