Rob Gronkowski threw a cheap shot at a Buffalo Bills defender late in Sunday’s game, and it could result in the New England Patriots tight end being fined or worse in advance of Week 14.
Gronkowski appeared to be frustrated after Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White grabbed him a few times on the previous play, which resulted in an interception thrown by Tom Brady. After White went to the ground and was touched by a Patriots defender, Gronk came in late with a spear. Check it out:

Gronk can try to argue that he didn’t know White had been touched, but that’s still pretty egregious. There’s no need to drive your shoulder into a player who is laying on the ground like that. A fine is almost a certainty, and it wouldn’t be a shock if Gronkowski is suspended for a game.
