Rob Gronkowski is not letting a torn ACL ruin his offseason. The New England Patriots tight end is killing his free time per usual. Earlier this week, Gronk was on the set of the upcoming “Entourage” movie filming a cameo with teammate Julian Edelman. A TMZ reporter caught up with him for an interview, and we can’t tell you how thankful we are for that.
The interview began with the cameraman telling Gronk he is looking good right now.
“That’s what I do,” Gronkowski replied. “I’m beast mode lately, baby. Jacked central, that’s all. You know, I just work out all the time.”
Gronk then offered to get down and bang out some pushups. When asked how many he could do, he gave the most Gronk answer you could ever imagine.
“Probably 69,” he said before bursting out laughing.
Patriots fans — and football fans in general — will be happy to hear that Gronk said he is doing well with his rehab and getting stronger every day. Don’t expect him to attempt more than 69 pushups, though. I’m sure he’s stuck on that number for a reason.
