Russell Wilson signs four-year, $87.6 million deal with Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks fans can finally exhale. The Russell Wilson contract situation has been taken care of, as the two-time Pro Bowler agreed to a new four-year deal with the team on Friday morning.
News of Wilson’s four-year, $87.6 million contract was first reported by Sports Illustrated’s Peter King and later confirmed by Wilson on Twitter.
Blessed to be w/ this organization for 4 more years! Can't wait to get on field w/ the fellas! @Seahawks #ChampionshipMindset

Wilson will also receive a whopping $60 million guaranteed.
Pro Football Talk reports that Wilson’s new four-year deal is an extension of his rookie contract, meaning he will be with the Seahawks through the 2019 season.
It appears Wilson and the Seahawks have managed to find some middle ground. Wilson’s camp was reportedly seeking more than the $22 million average annual salary that Aaron Rodgers received in his most recent contract, but they settled for slightly less. However, Wilson’s new contract will expire when he is 30 or 31, meaning he should be able to cash in on another massive pay day if he continues to play at a high level.
