It’s too soon to tell if New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will be ready to return after the team’s Week 11 bye.
Darnold is out of his walking boot, according to coach Todd Bowles, but it’s too early to say if he’ll be able to face the New England Patriots in Week 12.

Darnold spent the last week in a walking boot, so that represents at least some progress. Though there’s frankly little he could have done with how bad the Jets played on Sunday, they’ll want him back under center as soon as possible. That said, he’s a rookie and the Jets are going nowhere, so they lack any real incentive to push it.
