Sean McVay’s face after Rams were eliminated from playoffs said it all
What is it like to see your team eliminated from the playoffs on a field goal as time expires in a loss? Look no further than Sean McVay for the answer.
McVay seemed stunned to see his Los Angeles Rams eliminated from the postseason on Robbie Gould’s 33-yard field goal to give the San Francisco 49ers a 34-31 win on Saturday night.

McVay’s Rams were up 14-3 in the first quarter and led 28-24 in the fourth quarter. But they allowed two 3rd-and-16 conversions on the final drive to put San Francisco in field goal position and lost on the field goal.
A season after making the Super Bowl, the Rams are now 8-7 and won’t be back in the postseason. McVay had the same look on his face last year after his Rams lost a surprising game to the Eagles.
