Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is making encouraging progress less than a month after being shot at a Florida bar.
On Saturday, Dell’s trainer, Delfonte Diamond, posted video of the Texans wide receiver running routes. Dell looked to be going full-speed during the drills and showed no visible sign of injury.

Dell was an innocent bystander in the Florida incident, with the Texans stating the wide receiver suffered a “minor” gunshot wound. Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston reported Saturday that Dell suffered a “flesh wound” that went through one side of his leg and out the other, avoiding any structural damage.
As a rookie in 2023, Dell was one of Houston’s standout players, and he quickly developed a rapport with quarterback CJ Stroud. He wound up catching 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie, and should have a big role in the Texans’ offense moving forward.
